The Transcription Aid® software licence, bundle with a certified USB foot pedal, is granted to run in a couple of CPUs (author/secretary) at the same time. In case the author also wants to run Transcription Aid® he will need an additional USB certified foot pedal or USB key dongle. The following versions of Transcription Aid® are currently available:
- INDIVIDUAL, for the correction and improvement of one set of "Speech files" of one single dictating author (user)
- FULL - 3 SPEECH FILES, for the correction and improvement of a maximum of three sets of "Speech files" of three different dictating authors (users)
- CORPORATE, no restrictions in the number of "Speech files" of dictating authors (users).
The client can purchase an additional code to upgrade the original FULL VERSION – INDIVIDUAL licence to 3 SPEECH FILES and to CORPORATE. This will allow to "unlock" the same application for an unlimited number of users.
Transcription Aid® requires Dragon NaturallySpeaking® to run. The client can use either the Preferred version, exclusively for the transcription and correction (inmediatly after the transcription takes place) of voice recordings made with any recording application and digital device, or the Professional (also supports deferred correction at any moment after the transcription and Batch transcription of multiple voice recordings with different Speech files). With the latter, the transfer to a secretary of correction of transcriptions generated with Dragon (the ".dra" files) is also supported.
In both cases, the corrections introduced either by the author or the secretary may improve the "Speech files" of the author, for further accurancy of the transcription process.
As the secretary does not create his/her own "Speech files" for correction of transcriptions of the author, but instead uses the keyboard and foot pedal supported by Transcription Aid®, only one single License of Dragon NaturallySpeaking® maybe all you need (please check the terms of your Dragon license).
